OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated February 1, 2016, and pursuant to subsection 7(
c) and clause 16(1)(
a) of
Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act , is pleased to approve the Minister Natural Resources: (
a) issuing a grant or deed to convey a parcel of Crown land containing approximately 43.2 hectares (106.75 acres), located at Gabarus Highway, Dutch Brook, Cape Breton County, and shown outlined in bold on the plan marked
Schedule “A” which is attached to and forms part of the Report and Recommendation, to Membertou Development Corporation, a body corporate having its registered office at Sydney, in the County of Cape Breton, Province of Nova Scotia, its successors and assigns; (
b) accepting from Membertou Development Corporation, its successors and assigns, parcels of land containing in total approximately 46.32 hectares (114.46 acres), located at Dennison Rear Road, Baddeck, Victoria County and Old Beaver Cove Road, Shunacadie, Cape Breton County, shown outlined in bold on the plans marked
Schedule “B” and “C”, which are attached to and form part of the Report and Recommendation, subject to the condition that Membertou Development Corporation, its approved successors and assigns, be able to certify title to the land in a manner deemed sufficient by the Department of Justice; and (
c) executing such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
