OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated March 28, 2014, and pursuant to
Section 4 of
Chapter 315 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Nova Scotia Museum Act , is pleased to: (
a) reappoint Sandra Nowlan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member of the Nova Scotia Museum Board of Governors for a three year term commencing on May 6, 2014; (
b) appoint Allan Armsworthy of Antigonish, Antigonish County, James Boxall of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) and John Toomey of Bras d’Or, Victoria County as members of the Nova Scotia Museum Board of Governors, each for a three year term commencing on May 6, 2014; and (
c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointees in their capacity as members of the Nova Scotia Museum Board of Governors and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claims, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
