CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Northern Municipalities Act (Assented to December 19, 1984) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Northern Municipalities Amendment Act, 1984. S.S. 1983, c.N-5.1 The Northern Municipalities Act is amended in the manner set forth in this Act.

Section amended 3(1) Subsection 291(2) is repealed and the following substituted: “

(2) The minister may pay: (

a) for the expenses incurred in administering the revenue sharing account; and (

b) any other amounts as he considers necessary and appropriate; out of the moneys in the revenue sharing account other than moneys derived from revenues collected with respect to a northern hamlet or northern settlement or from revenue described in subsection (6)”. (2) Clause 291(3)(

a) is amended by striking out “year” and substituting “month”. (3) Subsection 291(6) is amended by striking out “287(1)(b)(i), (ii), (iv), (vi), (viii) (ix)” and substituting “287(1)(b)(i), (ii), (iii), (vi), (viii) and (ix)”.

Section amended Subsection 298(2) is amended by striking out “unsubdivided or unsurveyed leases of Crown”. REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN Printed by the authority of THE QUEEN’S PRINTER
