OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated June 13, 2025, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 308 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Natural Products Act , and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , hereby: (

a) revokes the appointment of Ian Blenkharn of Kings County as a member of the Natural Products Marketing Council, made by Order in Council 2023-200 dated July 18, 2023, effective June 26, 2025; (

b) appoints Brian Hirtle of Kings County as a member of the Natural Products Marketing Council for a term of four years commencing June 26, 2025; (

c) appoints Andy Vermeulen of Kings County as a member and chair of the Natural Products Marketing Council for a term of three years commencing June 26, 2025; (

d) orders that Brian Hirtle be remunerated in the amount of $100 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling duties as a member of the Natural Products Marketing Council, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service; and (

e) orders that Andy Vermeulen be remunerated in the amount of $150 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling duties as a member and chair of the Natural Products Marketing Council, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service.
