Rigolet Municipal Planning Area

under the

Urban and Rural Planning Act

(O.C. 96-202)

Under the authority of

section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act

and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act

, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Rigolet Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING

AREA

Beginning at a point on the highwater mark of the shoreline on the eastern side of the narrows at the entrance of Lake Melville, Labrador, that point being approximately 4,375 metres south of the eastern extremity of Double Mer Point, that point having military co-ordinates 407 725 metres east and 6 005 675 metres north;

Then running due west a distance of 4,300 metres to a point on the eastern side of a small unnamed brook, that point having military co-ordinates 403 425 metres east and 6 005 675 metres north;

Then running south 41 30' west a distance of 868 metres to a point having military co-ordinates 402 850 metres east and 6 005 025 metres north;

Then running south 11 30' east a distance of 1,250 metres to a point having military co-ordinates 403 100 metres east and 6 003 800 metres north;

Then running south 43 53' east a distance of 3,607 metres to a point on the highwater mark of the shoreline of the narrows, that point having military co-ordinates 405 600 metres east and 6 001 200 metres north;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northeast direction to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north,

all co-ordinates refer to the Army Survey Establishment, 1957.
