Order in Council 109/2023
On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:
Whereas Little John Enterprises Ltd., a corporation existing under the laws of Ontario (the “ Company ”), desires to continue to operate a forest resource processing facility in Timmins, Ontario (the “ Facility ”);
And
whereas the supply agreement numbered 536228 currently held by the Company was approved by Order in Council 1537/2002 and amended by Order in Council 341/2004 (the “ Supply Agreement” );
And
whereas the Supply Agreement requires the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council in order for the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry (the “ Minister ”) to renew the Supply Agreement for an additional five years;
And
whereas the Supply Agreement was renewed for a period of one year as approved by Order in Council 586/2022;
Now therefore , pursuant to
section 24(3)(
b) of the Crown Forest Sustainability Act , 1994, S.O. 1994, c. 25 and
section 11.1 of the Supply Agreement, the Minister is hereby given approval to renew the Supply Agreement with the Company for a period of four years for a supply of Crown forest resources, being a maximum annual target volume of 9,000 cubic metres, to be made available to the Company for use at the Facility.
