OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated April 21, 2011, and pursuant to

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, and

Section 5 of

Chapter 17 of the Acts of 1990, the Law Reform Commission Act, is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Ronald MacDonald, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2009-92 dated February 25, 2009; (

b) appoint D. Peter Mancini of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a commissioner of the Law Reform Commission of Nova Scotia for a term of three years commencing June 7, 2011; (

c) determine the remuneration of D. Peter Mancini to be at the rate of $150.00 per day, plus reasonable expenses incurred; and (

d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against D. Peter Mancini and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity.
