EXPLANATORY NOTES

This Bill would amend the Provincial Court Act, 1991 to provide that the next report of the salary and benefits tribunal

shall be presented to the minister no later than September 30, 2010 . Currently, the Act required the report to have been presented no

later than April

1, 2010 .

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and

House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. Subsection 28.2(1.2) of the Provincial Court Act, 1991 is repealed

and the following substituted:

(1.2) The next report required under subsection

(1) after April 30, 2007 shall be

presented to the minister not later than September 30, 2010 .
