Statute: AIDS Advisory Commission Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated May 26, 2016, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 9 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the AIDS Advisory Commission Act , is pleased to, effective July 4, 2016: (

a) revoke the appointment and designation of Louise Lalonde as member and Chair of the Advisory Commission on AIDS; (

b) designate Denise Rooney of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as the Chair of the Advisory Commission on AIDS for a term expiring March 2, 2017; (

c) determine that Denise Rooney will be remunerated for her services as Chair of the Advisory Commission on AIDS in the amount of $1000 per annum, to be paid on a pro rata basis; (

d) appoint Barbara Clow of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), Mary Hart-Baker of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), and Cheryl Morris of Halifax Regional Municipality (Lower Sackville) as members of the Advisory Commission on AIDS for a term of three (3) years; and (

e) confirm that reasonable expenses incurred by the Chair and all other members in connection with the work of the Advisory Commission on AIDS will be paid in accordance with policies and guidelines applicable to civil servants.
