Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park Designation

made under

Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 75-166 (February 11, 1975), N.S. Reg. 38/75

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and

Forests dated the 21st day of January, A.D., 1975, pursuant to the provisions of

Section 2 of

Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act , is pleased

to:

(

a) constitute all that area of land including land covered with water owned by Her

Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia and situate at or near Ten Mile Lake,

in the County of Queens, Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, said area

of land being included within the boundaries of the lands described in

Schedule “A”

and shown outlined on the Plan of. Survey marked

Schedule “B”, both Schedules

attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation; and

(

b) declare the name by which the park shall be known as “Ten Mile Lake Provincial

Park”.

Ten Mile Lake Provincial Park

All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being at Ten Mile Lake, County of

Queens, Province of Nova Scotia, as is shown on Plan E-5-45, recorded in the Crown Land

Registry office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax, being more particularly described as

follows:

Beginning at a Crown Land Wood Post (C.L.W.P.) marked Q2110 set on the western

boundary of Highway No. 8 and the most eastern corner of lands now or formerly owned by

Bowater s Mersey Paper Co. Ltd.;

Thence south seventy-nine degrees twelve minutes west (S 79° 12'

W) along the northern

boundary of said lands now or formerly owned by Bowater s Mersey Paper Co. Ltd., distant six

hundred fifty-seven decimal sixty-three (657.63) feet to a C.L.W.P. marked Q2111;

Thence north twenty-three degrees west (N 23° 00'

W) along the northern boundary of said

lands now or formerly owned by Bowater s Mersey Paper Co. Ltd., distant one hundred

sixty-three decimal seventeen (163.17) feet to a C.L.I.P. marked Q2112;

Thence north twenty-three degrees west (N 23° 00'

W) along the northern boundary of said

lands now or formerly owned by the Bowater s Mersey Paper Co. Ltd. to the shore line of Ten

Mile Lake;

Thence northeasterly along the shore line of said Ten Mile Lake to a point on the southern

boundary of lands now or formerly owned by Bowater s Mersey Paper Co. Ltd. and being south

sixty-five degrees thirty minutes west (S 65° 30'

W) from a C.L.W.P. marked Q2113;

Thence north sixty-five degrees thirty minutes east (N 65° 30'

E) along the southern boundary

of said lands now or formerly owned by the Bowater s Mersey Paper Co. Ltd. to a C.L.W.P.

marked Q2113, said C.L.W.P. marked Q2113 being north forty-four degrees twenty-nine

minutes east (N 44° 29' E), distant six hundred thirty-nine decimal eighty-four (639.84) feet

from the above mentioned C.L.W.P. marked Q2112;

Thence north sixty-five degrees thirty minutes east (N 65° 30'

E) along the southern boundary

of said lands now or formerly owned by the Bowater s Mersey Paper Co. Ltd., distant four

hundred forty-eight decimal forty (448.40) feet to a C.L.W.P. marked Q2114 set on the western

boundary of said Highway No. 8;

Thence southerly along the western boundary of said Highway No. 8, distant six hundred

ninety-one (691) feet more or less to the place of beginning, said place of beginning being south

twelve degrees twenty-one decimal five minutes west (S 12° 21.5' W), distant six hundred

eighty-five decimal twenty-seven (685.27) feet from the above mentioned C.L.W.P. marked

Q2114;

The above bearings are magnetic of the year 1968.

The above described lands containing an area of eight (8) acres more or less.
