MISCELLANEOUS STATUTES (MINOR CORRECTIONS) AMENDMENT ACT, 2016

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

Administrative Tribunals Act

Section 60 (1) (

i) of the Administrative Tribunals Act, S.B.C. 2004, c. 45, is amended by striking out " make public; " and substituting " make public. "

Administrative Tribunals Statutes Amendment Act, 2015

2 Sections 113 and 115 of the Administrative Tribunals Statutes Amendment Act, 2015, S.B.C. 2015, c. 10, are repealed.

Adoption Act

Section 1 (1) of the Adoption Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 5, is amended in the definition of "extra-provincial agency" by striking out " "extra-provincial agency" " and substituting " "extraprovincial agency" ".

4 Sections 13 (5) and 49 (

b) are amended by striking out " extra-provincial " and substituting " extraprovincial ".

Business Corporations Act

Section 379 (2) (

a) of the Business Corporations Act, S.B.C. 2002, c. 57, is amended by striking out " extra provincial " and substituting " extraprovincial ".

College of Applied Biology Act

6 The College of Applied Biology Act, S.B.C. 2002, c. 68, is amended by repealing the heading to Division 2 of

Part 3 and substituting the following:

Division 2 – Enrolment, Admission and Reinstatement .

Drainage, Ditch and Dike Act

Section 172 of the Drainage, Ditch and Dike Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 102, is amended

(

a) by repealing subsection (1) and substituting the following:

(1) After a transfer to a regional district under

section 170.1 has been made, the area that was included in the development district is deemed to be a service area under

Part 10 [Regional Districts: Service Structure and Establishing Bylaws] of the Local Government Act and, for these purposes, the following apply:

(

a) the following Divisions of

Part 10 of that Act:

(

i) Division 3 [Establishing Bylaws for Services] ;

(ii) Division 4 [Approval of Establishing Bylaws] ;

(iii) Division 5 [Changes to Establishing Bylaws] ;

(

b) the following Divisions of

Part 11 [Regional Districts: Financial Management] of that Act:

(

i) Division 2 [Cost Recovery for Services] ;

(ii) Division 3 [Requisition and Tax Collection] ;

(iii) Division 4 [Tax Rates and Exemptions] . , and

(

b) in subsection (4) by striking out "

section 176 [corporate powers] of the Local Government Act " and substituting "

section 263 [corporate powers] of the Local Government Act ".

Environmental Management Amendment Act, 2004

Section 21 of the Environmental Management Amendment Act, 2004, S.B.C. 2004, c. 18, is amended by striking out "Section 946.1 (2) (

b) of the Local Government Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 323" and substituting "Section 556 (

b) of the Local Government Act, R.S.B.C. 2015, c. 1".

Section 22 is amended by striking out "Section 946.2 (2)" and substituting "Section 557 (2),".

Expropriation Act

Section 2 (4) of the Expropriation Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 125, is amended by striking out " Local Government Act " and substituting " Municipal Replotting Act ".

Forest Act

Section 58.1 (8) of the Forest Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 157, is amended by striking out " fulfilment " and substituting " fulfillment ".

Foresters Act

Section 1 of the Foresters Act, S.B.C. 2003, c. 19, is amended in the definition of "enrollment" by striking out " "enrollment" " and substituting " "enrolment" ".

Income Tax Act

Section 13.01 of the Income Tax Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 215, is amended in paragraphs (

b) and (

d) of the definition of "eligible individual" by striking out " fulfils " and substituting " fulfills ".

Insurance Act

Section 84 (1) of the Insurance Act, R.S.B.C. 2012, c. 1, is amended by striking out " "installments" " and substituting " "instalments" ".

Interjurisdictional Support Orders Act

Section 16 (1) of the Interjurisdictional Support Orders Act, S.B.C. 2002, c. 29, is amended in the definition of "extra-provincial order" by striking out " "extra-provincial order" " and substituting " "extraprovincial order" ".

16 Sections 16 (2) and 45 (4) are amended by striking out " extra-provincial " and substituting " extraprovincial ".

Islands Trust Act

Section 39 (1) of the Islands Trust Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 239, is amended by renumbering the second paragraph (

a) as paragraph (b).

Land Title Act

Section 257 (1) (b) (ii) of the Land Title Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 250, is amended by striking out " fulfilment " and substituting " fulfillment ".

Medicare Protection Act

Section 1 of the Medicare Protection Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 286, is amended by repealing the definition of "enroll" and substituting the following:

"enrol" means,

(

a) in respect of a beneficiary, enrolment under

section 7.2, and

(

b) in respect of a practitioner, enrolment under

section 13; .

Section 7.2 (3) is amended by striking out " Enrollment " and substituting " Enrolment ".

Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2), 2000

Section 12 of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2), 2000, S.B.C. 2000, c. 26, as it enacts

section 26.1 (4) (

b) of the Fisheries Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 149, is amended by striking out " fund raising " and substituting " fundraising ".

Motor Vehicle Amendment Act (No. 2), 2012

Section 1 of the Motor Vehicle Amendment Act (No. 2), 2012, S.B.C. 2012, c. 34, is amended by striking out "

section 26 (1) (c.1), " and substituting "

section 26 (1) (c.1); ".

Municipal Replotting Act

Part 21 of the Municipal Replotting Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 323, is repealed.

Muskwa-Kechika Management Area Act

Section 13 (1) (

c) of the Muskwa-Kechika Management Area Act, S.B.C. 1998, c. 38, is amended by striking out " fund raising " and substituting " fundraising ".

Natural Products Marketing (BC) Act

Section 3.1 of the Natural Products Marketing (BC) Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 330, is amended by striking out " Administrative Tribunal Act " and substituting " Administrative Tribunals Act ".

Offence Act

Section 97 (1) of the Offence Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 338, is amended by striking out " fulfils " and substituting " fulfills ".

Petroleum and Natural Gas Act

Section 48 of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 361, is amended by striking out " details of expenditure for it made " and substituting " details of expenditure made for it ".

Pharmaceutical Services Act

Section 10 (2) of the Pharmaceutical Services Act, S.B.C. 2012, c. 22, is amended by striking out " re-enrollment " and substituting " re-enrolment ".

Section 71 (5) is amended by striking out " enrolls " and substituting " enrols ".

Real Estate Services Act

30 The Real Estate Services Act, S.B.C. 2004, c. 42, is amended by repealing the heading to

Part 6 and substituting the following:

Part 6 – Real Estate Council .

Representation Agreement Act

Section 1 of the Representation Agreement Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 405, is amended in the definition of "trust company" by striking out " extra provincial " and substituting " extraprovincial ".

Safety Authority Act

Section 35 (2) of the Safety Authority Act, S.B.C. 2003, c. 38, is amended by striking out " make " and substituting " made ".

School Act

Section 27 (3) (

b) of the School Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 412, is amended by adding " or " after " instruction, ".

Small Business Venture Capital Act

Section 1 (9) of the Small Business Venture Capital Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 429, is amended by striking out " affiliates, " and substituting " affiliates ".

Strata Property Act

Section 116 (6) of the Strata Property Act, S.B.C. 1998, c. 43, is amended by striking out " Acknowledgment " and substituting " Acknowledgement ".

Taxation (Rural Area) Act

Section 36 (1) of the Taxation (Rural Area) Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 448, is amended by striking out " , or by a sheriff as his or her agent " and substituting " or by a sheriff as his or her agent, ".

Vancouver Charter

Section 294. (9) (

d) of the Vancouver Charter, S.B.C. 1953, c. 55, is amended by striking out " dyke " and substituting " dike ".

Section 302. (

o) is amended by striking out " dykes " and substituting " dikes ".
