OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations dated October 17, 2011, and pursuant to
Section 48 of
Chapter 4 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Gaming Control Act, is pleased to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Dennis Kerr as Executive Director of Gaming Control; (
b) appoint John R. MacDonald of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as the Executive Director of Gaming Control of the Alcohol and Gaming Division of the Department of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations for the purposes of carrying out such duties and responsibilities as are prescribed under
Part II of the Gaming Control Act; (
c) order that John R. MacDonald receive remuneration in accordance with the Excluded Classification Pay Plan; and determine the salary of John R. MacDonald to be that of the EC 15 classification assigned to the position of Executive Director of Gaming Control of the Alcohol and Gaming Division of the Department of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations; (
d) order that the salary range of the Executive Director of Gaming Control of the Alcohol and Gaming Division of the Department of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations be provided any economic adjustments approved for employees in the Excluded Classification Pay Plan for the 2011-2012 and subsequent fiscal years, as applicable, and that the Executive Director of Gaming Control of the Alcohol and Gaming Division of the Department of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations be eligible for merit pay approved for employees in the Excluded Classification Pay Plan for the 2011-2012 and subsequent fiscal years as applicable; and (
e) order that the Executive Director of Gaming Control of the Alcohol and Gaming Division of the Department of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations be eligible for standard employment benefits provided to employees in the Excluded Classification Pay Plan including group life insurance, consolidated health plan benefits, long-term disability plan benefits, vacation entitlements, sick leave benefits, public service awards and participation in the Public Service Superannuation Plan.
