Statute: Boxing Authority Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Boxing Authority Act dated June 22, 2017, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 43 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Boxing Authority Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Michael (Mickey) MacDonald of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as member of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term of one (1) year commencing October 4, 2017; (

b) designate Michael (Mickey) MacDonald as Chair of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority; (

c) determine that the Chair of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority shall receive remuneration in respect of his appointment at a rate of $2,000 per annum plus $45.00 per meeting; (

d) reappoint Barry Bernard of Eskasoni, Cape Breton County, Tom Davis of Stellarton, Pictou County, Daniel McMillan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Upper Tantallon), Darrell W. Smith of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) and Paul Douglas Carrigan of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Port Caledonia) as members of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term of one (1) year commencing October 4, 2017; and (

e) determine that the members of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority shall receive remuneration in respect of their appointments at a rate of $25.00 per meeting.
