Order in Council 1792/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to Order in Council O.C. 1387/2017 dated June 28, 2017 Denis Boivin has been serving as a member of the Financial Services Tribunal (“Tribunal”);

Pursuant to subsection 4 (1) of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario Act, 1997 (“Act”),

Denis Boivin, of Ottawa, Ontario

be appointed Chair of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (and, by virtue of this appointment Chair of the Tribunal in accordance with subsection 6 (2) of the Act) on an interim basis, for a term beginning September 6, 2017 and ending on the earlier of December 31, 2017 and the effective date of the appointment of a new Chair, at which time he shall resume the remainder of his term as a member pursuant to Order in Council O.C. 1387/2017.
