Order in Council 699/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Electrification and Energy Transition Panel (the “Panel”) was established by Order in Council pursuant to subparagraph 12(1)(

a) of the Ministry of Energy Act, 2011 ;

And

whereas the Order in Council provides that the members of the Panel, including the Chair, shall be paid such remuneration and expenses as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 12(2) of the Ministry of Energy Act, 2011 , the following remuneration and expenses are determined:

Each member of the Panel, excluding the Chair, shall be remunerated at a rate of $723.00 per diem, up to a maximum amount of $57,840.00; and

The member who is appointed as the Chair shall be remunerated at a rate of $1,000.00 per diem, up to a maximum amount of $80,000.00; and

The members of the Panel, including the Chair, shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out their duties in accordance with applicable Management Board of Cabinet and Treasury Board directives, including the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
