An Act to Amend the Agricultural Development Act Loi modifiant la

Loi sur l’aménagement agricole Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et du consentement de l’Assem- blée législative du Nouveau-Brunswick, décrète : 1 Subsection 5.1(1) of the Agricultural Development Act,

chapter A-5.1 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended by striking out “The Board shall consider all applications made to it” and substituting “The Board shall consider all applications for financial assistance for more than twenty-five thousand dollars made to it”. 1

section 5.1 the following: 2 La Loi est modifiée par l’adjonction, après l’article 5.1, de ce qui suit : 5.11(1) The Board shall refer to the Minister all appli- cations for financial assistance for twenty-five thousand dollars or less made to it under this Act and the regulations. 5.11(1) La Commission doit remettre au Ministre toutes demandes d’aide financière de vingt-cinq mille dollars ou moins qui lui sont faites en vertu de la présente loi et des règlements. 5.11(2) The Board is not required to make a recommen- dation with respect to an application referred to the Min- ister under subsection (1). 5.11(2) Une demande remise au Ministre aux termes du paragraphe (1) n’exige pas une recommandation de la Commission. 5.12 The Minister, with the approval of the Lieutenant- Governor in Council or in accordance with the regulations, may provide financial assistance to aid and encourage ag- ricultural development in the Province and such financial assistance shall be in accordance with the terms and con- ditions specified by the Minister or specified in the appro- val of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council. 5.12 Le Ministre peut, avec l’approbation du lieutenant-gouverneur en conseil ou conformément aux règlements, accorder une aide financière en vue de faciliter et de favoriser l’aménagement agricole dans la province et cette aide financière doit être assortie des modalités et des conditions fixées par le Ministre ou par le lieutenant- gouverneur en conseil dans son approbation. 1

3 The Act is amended by adding after

section 5.2 the following: 3 La Loi est modifiée par l’adjonction, après l’article 5.2, de ce qui suit : 5.3(1) Any person who receives financial assistance un- der this Act shall pay to the Minister an annual charge in accordance with the terms and conditions prescribed by regulation. 5.3(1) Toute personne qui reçoit une aide financière en vertu de la présente loi doit verser au Ministre une somme au

titre de charges annuelles selon les modalités et condi- tions établies par règlement. 5.3(2) The annual charges received by the Minister un- der this

Section 13 of the Act is amended 4 L’article 13 de la Loi est modifié (

a) by renumbering the

section as subsection 13(1);
