OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal dated September 5, 2017, and pursuant to

Section 18 of

Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act , and

Section 11 of

Chapter 452 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act , is pleased to: (

a) extinguish the right of the public to use three (3) sections of surplus highway that are currently part of the Pictou Rotary property containing a total area of 7.2 acres, more or less, at or near Pictou, County of Pictou, which are more particularly described in

Schedule “B” and identified as Lot A containing 2.2305 acres, Lot B containing 2.9479 acres and Lot C containing 2.0428 acres on the plan marked

Schedule “C which Schedules are attached to and form part of this Report and Recommendation; (

b) authorize the conveyance of the three (3) sections of surplus highway property to the Town of Pictou, a body corporate, incorporated under the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia for the nominal consideration of $1.00; (

c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to affect the conveyance of the lands herein above described; and (

d) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to execute such other documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
