OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Active Transit, dated April 13, 2021, and pursuant to
Section 18 of
Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, the Public Highways Act and
Section 11 of
Chapter 452 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act , is pleased to: (
a) extinguish the right of the public to use that portion of the public highway, identified as Parcel 4, containing an area of 1,489 acres, more or less, of an unused
section of road located at or near Shubenacadie, County of Hants, more particularly described in
Schedule “A”, and shown on
Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (
b) authorize the exchange of lands and the conveyance of Parcel 4 of surplus land to Mr. Brooke Crowell of Shubenacadie, County of Hants, for the consideration of $6,276.40 plus HST of $941.46 for a total purchase price of $7,217.86; and (
c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Active Transit to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to cause the conveyance of the lands herein above described.
