OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated February 3, 2000, pursuant to
Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act, is pleased to: (
a) approve the expropriation by Her Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia of certain lands situate at Port Royal, Annapolis County, Province of Nova Scotia, and more particularly described as: 1. Parcel "B" and Parcel "D"; and 2. all the right, interest and entitlement of the Grantee, her heirs and assigns, to a Right of Way described as Parcel "E" and granted by an Indenture recorded on December 20, 1991, at the Registry of Deeds for the County of Annapolis in Book 480 at Page 542 et seq., in
Schedule "A" and shown outlined in boldline on a plan marked
Schedule "B", both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, the said expropriation being for a pubic purpose, namely the purpose of the preservation and protection of an Acadian archeological site of national significance; (
b) direct that this Order or a copy hereof certified by the Clerk of the Executive Council to be a true copy hereof shall be a certificate of approval within the meaning of clause 11(1)(
e) of
Chapter 156 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Expropriation Act; and (
c) authorize the Minister of Justice to prepare and have executed such documents as may be required to achieve the purposes of this Order.
