OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated February 7, 2013, and pursuant to
Section 6 of
Chapter 89 of the Acts of 1980, the Gaelic College Foundation Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint John MacKinnon of Digby, Digby County, as a Governor of the Gaelic College Foundation Board of Governors for a two year term commencing April 2, 2013; and (
b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against John MacKinnon in his capacity as a Governor of the Gaelic College Foundation Board of Governors and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claims, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
