Order in Council 173/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

writs be issued for a by-election to be held in the Electoral District of Hamilton Centre rendered necessary because of the resignation of Andrea Horwath, member for the said electoral district,

the day for the close of nominations and the grant of a poll where required shall be Thursday, March 2, 2023;

the day for the taking of a poll shall be Thursday, March 16, 2023.

This order is made under

section 9.1 of the Election Act .
