B.C. Reg. 12/2020 , deposited January 29, 2020, under the BUDGET MEASURES IMPLEMENTATION ACT, 2018 [section 117], the CARBON TAX ACT [section 84] and the MOTOR FUEL TAX ACT [section 71]. Order in Council 35/2020, approved and ordered January 29, 2020.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with

the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective April 1, 2020,

(

a) sections 6 to 10, 46 to 50, 82 to 85 and 88 of the Budget Measures Implementation Act, 2018 , S.B.C. 2018, c. 4, are brought into force,

(

b) the Carbon Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 125/2008, is amended as set out in the

attached

Schedule 1, and

(

c) the Motor Fuel Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 414/85, is amended as set out in

the attached

Schedule 2.

Schedule 1

Section 22.6 of the Carbon Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 125/2008, is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out " subsections (2) and (3) " and substituting " subsection (2) ", and

(

b) by repealing subsection (3).

2 Sections 30 and 31 are amended by striking out " , at the person's principal office or principal place of business in British Columbia, ".

Section 32 (1) is amended by striking out " in British Columbia ".

Section 33 is repealed.

Schedule 2

1 Sections 5 and 5.01 (1) and (2) of the Motor Fuel Tax Regulation, B.C. Reg. 414/85,

are amended by striking out " , at the person's principal office or principal place of business in British Columbia, ".

Section 5.011 is amended by striking out " at the person's principal office or principal place of business in British Columbia ".

Section 5.02 (1) is amended by striking out " in British Columbia ".
