OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Nova Scotia Police Complaints Commissioner and Nova Scotia Police Review Board dated February 24, 2016, and pursuant to Sections 11 and 12 of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act , is pleased, effective March 31, 2016 to: (

a) re-appoint Nadine Cooper Mont of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as Nova Scotia Police Complaints Commissioner for a further term of 6 months; (

b) order that Nadine Cooper Mont be remunerated for her service in the amount of $200 per half day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling her duties as Nova Scotia Police Complaints Commissioner provided that such reimbursement does not exceed that normally payable to members of the civil service; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Nadine Cooper Mont and indemnify her from personal liability provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment as Nova Scotia Police Complaints Commissioner and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
