Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Municipal Affairs dated October 23, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 300 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Municipal Elections Act, and pursuant to

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased to, effective December 2, 2014; (

a) revoke the appointment of Vi Carmichael as the Municipal Elections Officer; (

b) appoint Bernie White of Cape Breton Regional Municipality, as the Municipal Elections Officer for a term of three (3) years; and (

c) order that the remuneration and other terms of Mr. White's employment shall be determined in accordance with the Personal Services Contract Policy.
