OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal dated June 3, 2015, and pursuant to
Section 18 of
Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act , and
Section 11 of
Chapter 452 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Surplus Crown Properly Disposal Act , is pleased to: (
a) extinguish the right of the public to use a
section of the Old Post Road, that includes approximately 17,094 square metres (184,004 square feet), at Kingston, County of Kings, which is more particularly described in
Schedule “A” and shown outlined in bold on the sketch marked
Schedule “B”, which Schedules are attached to and form part of the Report and Recommendation; (
b) authorize the conveyance and release in consideration of $1.00 of the Crown’s interest in the portion of Old Post Road described in
Schedule ‘A” to the owners from time to time of the parcels of land identified by PID in the table included in
Schedule “B”, where the portion of Old Post Road to be conveyed to any person is the portion that is included within the corresponding land identified by PID as set out in the table in
Schedule “B”; and (
c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal to make and execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
