CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Pharmacy Act, 1954 [Assented to March 30, 1955] 1954, c.74 s.45 amended

Section of The Pharmacy Act, 1954, is amended by inserting after subsection (3) the following subsection: “(3a) Notwithstanding subsection (1) but subject to compliance with the Opium and Narcotic Drug Regulations made under the Opium and Narcotic Drug Act (Canada), a retail druggist who receives an oral prescription for an oral prescription narcotic product as defined in the said regulations may, after taking all necessary steps to satisfy himself that the person giving the prescription is a medical practitioner, dentist or veterinary surgeon, supply such product as directed in the prescription”. 1955, c.71, s.1.
