chapter M-10 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is amended 1 Le paragraphe 1 (1) de la

a) by repealing the definition “prescribed form”;

Le paragraphe 8.6(5) de la Loi est modifié par la suppression de « selon la formule prescrite » et son rem- placement par « au moyen de la formule que le ministre lui fournit ». 8 Subsection 9(1) of the Act is repealed and the fol- lowing is substituted: 8 Le paragraphe 9(1) de la Loi est abrogé et remplacé par ce qui suit : 9(1) A person who believes that another person is suf- fering from a mental disorder and should be examined in the interests of the person’s own safety or the safety of others may give information on oath or solemn affirmation to a judge of the Provincial Court and the judge may issue an order for examination on a form prescribed by regula- tion if the judge is satisfied, after an inquiry, that the ex- amination is necessary and the person refuses to submit to a medical examination. 9(1) Quiconque croit qu’une personne est atteinte d’un trouble mental et devrait être examinée dans l’intérêt de sa propre sécurité ou de celle d’autrui peut en informer sous serment ou par affirmation solennelle un juge à la Cour provinciale, lequel peut, étant convaincu après enquête que cet examen est nécessaire et qu’elle refuse de se sou- mettre à un examen médical, rendre une ordonnance d’examen au moyen de la formule réglementaire. 9 Subsection 12(1) of the Act is repealed and the fol- lowing is substituted: 9 Le paragraphe 12(1) de la Loi est abrogé et remplacé par ce qui suit : 12(1) An attending psychiatrist shall file an application on a form provided by the Minister with the chairman of the tribunal having jurisdiction for an order that a volun- tary patient be admitted to a psychiatric facility as an in- voluntary patient, and in any such case paragraph 8(3)(b), subsections 8(4) and (5) and sections 8.01, 8.1 and 8.11 apply with the necessary modifications, if the attending psychiatrist is of the opinion that 12(1) Le psychiatre traitant dépose auprès du président du tribunal compétent une demande établie au moyen de la formule que le ministre lui fournit afin qu’il ordonne que le malade en placement volontaire soit admis dans un établissement psychiatrique à

a) par l’abrogation du paragraphe (1) et son rem- placement par ce qui suit : 30.3(1) An attending psychiatrist may file an application on a form provided by the Minister with the chairman of the review board having jurisdiction for an inquiry into whether specified psychiatric treatment, other than routine clinical medical treatment, should be given without con- sent if the attending psychiatrist is of the opinion that spe- cified psychiatric treatment other than routine clinical medical treatment should be given to an involuntary pa- tient 30.3(1) Le psychiatre traitant peut déposer auprès du président de la commission de recours compétente une de- mande établie au moyen de la formule que le ministre lui fournit afin que soit menée une enquête en vue de déter- miner si le traitement psychiatrique indiqué, et non le trai- tement médical clinique de routine, devrait être administré sans consentement, s’il est d’avis que ce traitement devrait être administré à un malade en placement non volontaire qui : (
