OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated May 2, 2014, and pursuant to clause 16(1 )(
a) of
Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to: (
a) approve the Minister of Natural Resources issuing a lease for a parcel of Crown land containing approximately 278 hectares (687 acres), the exact location and acreage to be determined by survey, located at Moose River Gold Mines, Halifax County, and shown outlined in bold on the plan marked
Schedule “A”, which is attached to and forms part of the Report and Recommendation, to D.D.V. Gold Ltd., a body corporate with its registered office at Fredericton, Province of New Brunswick, its successors, trustees, and permitted assigns, for the purpose of surface mining for gold and for the placement of infrastructure necessary to develop and operate a surface gold mine, including reclamation of the site, and for no other purpose, for a term of ten years, with the right to renew the lease for a further ten year term, provided that the Company has satisfactorily complied with the terms and conditions of the lease; and (
b) execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
