An Act to amend The Expropriation Act and The Expropriation Procedure Act (Land and Chattels) (Assented to , 1995) HE R MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows: Sh ort title This Act may be cited as The Expropriations Amendment Act (Land and Chattels), 1995. R. S.S. 1978, c.E-15,

Section of The Expropriation Act is amended: (

a) b y renumbering the

section as subsection 2(1); (

b) by repealing renumbered clause (1)(

b) and substituting the following: A(

b) Alands@ means the lands and, for the purposes of this Act, chattels, particularly those chattels defined as firearms by the Firearms Act (Canada), the acquiring, taking or using of which is authorized by any of the Acts mentioned in clause (

a) and includes real property, messuages, lands, easements and hereditaments of any tenure and any easement, servitude, right, privilege or interest in, to, upon, under, over or in respect of the same; @; and (

c) b y adding immediately after renumbered subsection 2(1) the following subsection: A(2) Any provision of this Act respecting compensation or damages for the acquiring, taking or using of land as that term was defined before the coming into force of The Expropriations Amendment Act (Land and Chattels), 1995 , shall apply mutatis mutandis to chattels.@ R. a) b y renumbering the

section as subsection 2(1); (

b) by repealing renumbered clause (1)(

g) and substituting the following: A(

g) Aland@ means land and for the purposes of this Act, chattels, particularly those chattels defined as firearms by the Firearms Act (Canada), and includes any estate, term, easement, right or interest in, to, over or affecting land and chattels;@ and (

c) b y adding immediately after renumbered subsection 2(1) the following subsection: A(2) Any provision of this Act respecting compensation or damages for the acquiring, taking or using of land as that term was defined before the coming into force of The Expropriations Amendment Act (Land and Chatte ls), 1995, shall apply mutatis mutandis to chattels.@ Coming into force This Act comes into force on assent.
