NORTH ISLAND-COAST DEVELOPMENT

INITIATIVE TRUST AMENDMENT ACT, 2024

HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

CLAUSE 1: [North Island-Coast Development Initiative Trust Act,

section 2] removes gendered language.

Section 2 (2) (

b) of the North Island-Coast Development Initiative Trust Act, S.B.C. 2005, c. 36, is amended by striking out " he or she " and substituting " the individual ".

CLAUSE 2: [North Island-Coast Development Initiative Trust Act,

section 6] removes gendered language.

Section 6 (3) (

a) and (

b) is amended by striking out " he or she " and substituting " the director ".

CLAUSE 3: [North Island-Coast Development Initiative Trust Act,

section 9] removes gendered language.

Section 9 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) (

b) by striking out " he or she " and substituting " the director ", and

(

b) in subsection (3) by striking out " he or she " and substituting " the replacement director ".

CLAUSE 4: [North Island-Coast Development Initiative Trust Act,

section 13] removes gendered language.

Section 13 (2) is amended by striking out " his or he r" and substituting " the director's ".

Commencement

5 This Act comes into force on the date of Royal Assent.
