Under the authority of paragraphs 90(1)(

i) and (

k) of the Personal Health Information Act,

the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

Definitions

In these regulations

(a)

"Act" means the Personal Health Information Act ; and

(b)

"authority" means the Provincial Health Authority established under the Provincial Health Authority Act .

Designation of network

The Pharmacy Network operated by the authority

is designated as an information network for the purpose of paragraph 39(4)(

c) of the Act.

Information to be disclosed

The information that may be disclosed via the pharmacy network shall be as determined by the authority

, with the advice of a committee including representatives of the government, the College of Pharmacy of Newfoundland and Labrador, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Nurses, where the authority

decides to establish one.
