Order in Council 866/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council established the position of Special Advisor to support the development of an Ontario Data Authority by Order in Council made under

section 6.1 of the Ministry of Government Services Act ;

Therefore , pursuant to subsection 6.1(2) of the Ministry of Government Services Act :

The Special Advisor to support the development of an Ontario Data Authority (the “Special Advisor”) shall be remunerated at the rate of $723 per diem for each day that he or she is engaged in the duties of Special Advisor, provided that the total remuneration shall not exceed $200,000.

In addition to the remuneration set out above, the Special Advisor shall be reimbursed for work-related expenses incurred while engaged in his or her duties as the Special Advisor in accordance with the MBC Travel, Meal, and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other applicable TB/MBC directives.
