OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated January 30, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 33 of

Chapter 5 of the Acts of 1993, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, is pleased to, effective February 5, 2014: (

a) appoint Carmen Stuart of the Nova Scotia Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Review Office as Acting Review Officer for the purpose of conducting reviews pursuant to

Section 32 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act ; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Carmen Stuart and indemnify her from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
