OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour dated September 20, 1999, pursuant to subsections 151(1) and (2), clauses 151(3)(b), (

c) and (d), subsections 151 (4) and (5), 152 (1) and (2), 153(1) and (2) and 155(3) of

Chapter 10 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (

a) extend the term of appointment of John Bishop of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as Deputy-Chair and a member of the Workers' Compensation Board, which appointment was made by Order in Council 96-678 dated August 28, 1996, for a term commencing October 1, 1999, and ending December 31, 1999; (

b) extend the term of appointment of Jim Sapp of Liverpool, Region of Queens Municipality, as a member of the Workers' Compensation Board, which appointment was made by Order in Council 1998-574 dated November 3, 1998, for a term commencing October 1, 1999, and ending December 31, 1999; (

c) extend the term of appointment of Roberta Morrison of Bedford, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Workers' Compensation Board, which appointment was made by Order in Council 97-784 dated December 18, 1997, for a term commencing October 1, 1999, and ending December 31, 1999; (

d) extend the term of appointment of Dr. Oscar Wong of Tantallon, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Workers' Compensation Board, which appointment was made by Order in Council 97-784 dated December 18, 1997, for a term commencing October 1, 1999, and ending December 31, 1999; (

e) extend the term of appointment of Basil Kilgar of Shearwater, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Workers' Compensation Board, which appointment was made by Order in Council 97-784 dated December 18, 1997, for a term commencing October 1, 1999, and ending December 31, 1999; (

f) determine the remuneration of John Bishop to be at a rate of $200.00 for each day spent in attendance at a meeting of the Workers' Compensation Board as Deputy-Chair and at a rate of $150.00 for each day spent in attendance at a meeting of the Workers' Compensation Board as a member plus reasonable travelling and other expenses incurred by him in connection with the work of the Board of Directors; and (

g) determine the remuneration of Jim Sapp, Roberta Morrison, Dr. Oscar Wong and Basil Kilgar to be at the rate of $150.00 for each day spent in attendance at a meeting of the Board, plus reasonable travelling and other expenses incurred by them in connection with the work of the Board of Directors.
