B.C. Reg. 79/2016 , deposited March 16, 2016, under the SPECIAL ACCOUNTS APPROPRIATION AND CONTROL ACT [section 9.4] and the BUDGET MEASURES IMPLEMENTATION ACT, 2016 [section 70]. Order in Council 176/2016, approved and ordered March 15, 2016.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that

(

a) section 15 of the Budget Measures Implementation Act, 2016 , is brought into force,

(

b) the British Columbia Training and Education Savings Program Regulation, B.C. Reg. 127/2014, is amended as set out in

Schedule 1, and

(

c) the Prescribed Class of Persons and Payment Amount Determination Regulation, B.C. Reg. 261/2014, is amended as set out in

Schedule 2.

Schedule 1

Section 4 (c) (

i) of the British Columbia Training and Education Savings Program Regulation, B.C. Reg. 127/2014, is repealed and the following substituted:

(

i) in the case of a child whose 6th birthday falls in 2012, within 4 years after the application commencement date,

(i.1) in the case of a child whose 6th birthday falls in 2013 or 2014, within 3 years after the application commencement date, .

Schedule 2

Section 2 (

a) of the Prescribed Class of Persons and Payment Amount Determination Regulation, B.C. Reg. 261/2014, is amended by striking out “ January 1, 2007 ” and substituting “ January 1, 2006 ”.

Section 3 (1) (b) (i), (ii) and (iii) is amended by striking out “ 7 or 8 ” and substituting “ 7, 8 or 9 ”.
