OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage dated January 12, 2010, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 199 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Heritage Property Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Leslie Childs of Amherst, Cumberland County, as a member, and Brian Cuthbertson of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member and designate him as Vice-chairman, to the Advisory Council on Heritage Property, each for a term of three years commencing March 2, 2010: (

b) determine the remuneration of Leslie Childs and Brian Cuthbertson to be $75.00 per meeting plus reasonable expenses; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate, or settle claims or charges made against Leslie Childs and Brian Cuthbertson and indemnify them from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointments to the Advisory Council on Heritage Property and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
