Statute: Economic Renewal Act Business Development Corporation Act Industrial Development Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Economic Development dated September 11, 2001, pursuant to Sections 2, 3, 7 and 9 of

Chapter 5 of the Acts of 1994, the Economic Renewal Act,

Section 10 of

Chapter 49 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989 the Business Development Corporation Act and Sections 3 and 5 of

Chapter 222 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Industrial Development Act, is pleased to: (

a) authorize leases of the common user area and the marine railway at the Pictou Shipyard and the provision of an environmental indemnity to BPI Industries Limited on terms and conditions deemed necessary by the Minister; (

b) authorize the sale of the 1,000 ton floating dry dock moored at the common user wharf adjacent to the Pictou Shipyard on terms and conditions deemed necessary by the Minister; (

c) authorize the Minister of Economic Development to execute such agreements, leases and instruments as may be required to give effect to this Order; and (

d) assign the administration of this account to the Nova Scotia Business Development Corporation or its successor, Nova Scotia Business Incorporated.
