OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated February 14, 2014, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 199 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Heritage Property Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Kenneth Langille of Yarmouth, Yarmouth County, and Peter Newbould of Grand Pre, Kings County, as members of the Advisory Council on Heritage Property, each for a term of three years commencing March 31, 2014; (

b) appoint Sandra Nowlan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member of the Advisory Council on Heritage Property, for a term of three years commencing March 31, 2014; (

c) designate Kenneth Langille as Chair and Peter Newbould as Vice-Chair of the Advisory Council on Heritage Property; (

d) determine that remuneration for each of the members shall be $75.00 per meeting plus reasonable expenses; and (

e) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Kenneth Langille, Peter Newbould and Sandra Nowlan in their capacity as members of the Advisory Council on Heritage Property and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
