CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Saskatchewan Telecommunications Act (Assented to May 26, 1986) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows: 389 This Act may be cited as The Saskatchewan Shorttitle Telecommunications Amendment Act, 1986. 2(1)

Section 27.1 of The Saskatchewan Telecommunications Actis amended in the manner set forth in this section. (2) Subsection (2) is amended: (

a) by adding "and to install new telecommunication lines" after "line" in line 11; (

b) by striking out "the line" in paragraph and substituting "any line"; (

c) by striking out "the line" m paragraph and substituting "any line"; (

d) by striking out "the line" in line two of paragraph and substituting "any line"; and (

e) by striking out "the line" in line eight of paragraph and substituting "any line".

(3) The following subsection is added after subsection (6): "

(7) No new telecommunication line shall be installed pursuant to the authority of this

section unless it is installed: (

a) only for the purpose of supplying telecommunication service to subscribers residing in the area; and (

b) within the boundaries of a right granted to the corporation in writing to install the line or within five metres of the line that was first installed where the right to install the first line is not evidenced in writing". 1 R.S.S.1978, c. S-34,
