OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Economic and Rural Development dated February 5, 2010, and pursuant to Sections 6 and 7 of
Chapter 20 of the Acts of 1990, the Film Nova Scotia Act, is pleased to: (
a) revoke the appointment of Richard John Hebb of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, as a member of the Board of Directors of Film Nova Scotia, which appointment was made by Order in Council 2007-571 dated October 30, 2007; (
b) appoint Jeffrey M. Larsen of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a voting member of the Board of Directors of Film Nova Scotia for a term of three (3) years commencing March 2, 2010; (
c) reappoint Cheryl L. Hodder of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a voting member of the Board of Directors of Film Nova Scotia for a second term of three (3) years commencing March 2, 2010; (
d) authorize the payment of $100 per day plus reasonable expenses to the members of the Board for attending Board meetings of Film Nova Scotia; and (
e) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointees of the Board of Directors of Film Nova Scotia and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointments, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
