Statute: Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness, dated January 23, 2019, is pleased to: (

a) pursuant to clause 65(2)(

c) of

Chapter 42 of the Acts of 2005, the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act , to appoint Paulette Anderson of Plymouth, Pictou County, Lesley Brennan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), Patricia Esteves of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), Ian Gulliver of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) and Debra Maclean of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (North Sydney) as members of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for terms of three years commencing February 6, 2019; (

b) pursuant to clause 65(2)(

b) of

Chapter 42 of the Acts of 2005, the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act , to reappoint Jasmine Ghosn of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a lawyer member of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for a term of one year commencing November 22, 2019; (

c) pursuant to clause 65(2)(

b) of

Chapter 42 of the Acts of 2005, the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act , to appoint Ryan Baxter of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), Jennifer Garagan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Fall River) and Peter Mancini of Halifax Regional Municipality (Dartmouth) as lawyer members of the Review Board under the Involuntary Psychiatric Treatment Act for terms of three years commencing February 6, 2019; and (

d) confirm that Paulette Anderson, Lesley Brennan, Patricia Esteves, Ian Gulliver, Debra Maclean, Jasmine Ghosn, Ryan Baxter, Jennifer Garagan, and Peter Mancini will each be remunerated in accordance with the provisions of Order in Council 2011-183 dated May 24, 2011.
