OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Chair of Treasury and Policy Board dated November 7, 2003, and pursuant to Sections 3 and 4 of
Chapter 327 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Ombudsman Act, and
Section 10 of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, is pleased to: (
a) accept the resignation and revoke the appointment of Mayann E. Francis as Ombudsman, effective January 1, 2004; (
b) appoint Dwight L. Bishop of Wolfville, Kings County, as Ombudsman for a five year term of office commencing January 1, 2004; and (
c) designate Dwight L. Bishop as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act and determine that he shall be paid such salary and receive such benefits as provided in the contract of service in the form set forth in
Schedule "A" attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
