EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Bill would amend the Provincial

Court Act,

1991 to extend the deadline for filing the next report of the tribunal on

the salaries and benefits of judges to December 31, 2015.

Commencement

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and

House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

as amended

1. Subsection 28.2(1.2) of the Provincial Court Act, 1991 is repealed and the following substituted:

(1.2) Notwithstanding subsection (1), the next

report required under subsection (1) after September 30, 2010 shall be presented

to the minister not later than December 31, 2015.

Commencement

2. This Act is considered to have come into force

on September 29, 2014.
