REGULATION TO AMEND THE MAYO ROAD DEVELOPMENT AREA REGULATION 1. This Regulation amends the Mayo Road Development Area Regulation. 2. In subsection 25(1), the following paragraph is added after paragraph (c) “(c.1) special agriculture zone (AGx);” 3. In

Schedule A, (

a) the following definition is added to

section 1 in alphabetical order ‘abattoir’ means a building or facility that is used for the penning and slaughtering of animals, and includes any portion of the building or facility that is used for the processing, packing, storage or sale of meat; (

b) the following is added after

section 27 “SPECIAL AGRICULTURE ZONE – AGx Purpose 27.1 The purpose of the Special Agriculture Zone is to accommodate an abattoir within a zone that is otherwise identical to the Agriculture Zone. Characteristics 27.2 The provisions of this Regulation that apply to the Agriculture Zone apply to the Special Agriculture Zone except that, despite

section 22, an abattoir is permitted as a principal use.” 4.

Schedule B of the Regulation is amended by rezoning, as shown on the Appendix to this Regulation, approximately 46.7 hectares of land near kilometre 206 of the North Klondike Highway in Quad 105D/14 (being a portion of Agricultural Land Application 912) as follows (

a) a parcel of land that comprises 23.8 hectares, more or less, from Hinterland (

H) to Special Agriculture (AGx); and (

b) parcels of land that comprise 7.3 hectares and 15.6 hectares, more or less, from Hinterland (

H) to Agriculture (AG). RÈGLEMENT MODIFIANT LE RÈGLEMENT SUR LA RÉGION D’AMÉNAGEMENT MAYO ROAD 1. Le présent règlement modifie le Règlement sur la région d’aménagement Mayo Road. 2. Le paragraphe 25(1) est modifié par insertion, après l’alinéa c), de ce qui suit : « c.1) zone agricole spéciale (AGx); » 3. L’annexe A est modifiée par :

a) insertion, selon l’ordre alphabétique, de la définition qui suit : « “abattoir” » Édifice ou établissement utilisé pour la mise en parquet et l’abattage d’animaux, notamment les portions de l’édifice utilisées pour la transformation, l’emballage, l’entreposage ou la vente de la viande. »

b) insertion, après l’article 27, de ce qui suit : « ZONE AGRICOLE SPÉCIALE – AGx Objet 27.1 L’objet de la zone agricole spéciale est d’accueillir un abattoir dans cette zone, qui est par ailleurs identique à la zone agricole. Caractéristiques 27.2 Les dispositions du présent règlement qui s’appliquent à la zone agricole s’appliquent aussi à la zone agricole spéciale sauf que, malgré l’article 22, un abattoir peut y constituer l’usage principal. » 4.

L’annexe B est modifiée en modifiant le zonage d’approximativement 46,7 hectares de terres, telles que délimitées à l’appendice du présent règlement, situées près du kilomètre 206 de la route North Klondike, dans le quadrilatère 105D/14 (qui est une portion de la demande pour une terre agricole no 912), comme suit :

a) le zonage de la parcelle de terre composée d’environ 23,8 hectares passe de zone de l’arrière- pays (AP) à zone agricole spéciale (AGx);
