section of the Interprovincial Subpoenas Act, R.S.N.W.T. 1988, c. I-9 and every enabling power, makes the Witness Fees and Travelling Expenses Regulations. Le commissaire, sur la recommandation du ministre, en vertu de l'article de la

Loi sur les subpoenas interprovinciaux, L.R.T.N.-O. 1988, ch. I-9 et de tout pouvoir habilitant, prend le Règlement sur les indemnités et les frais de déplacement des témoins. 1. The fees and travelling expenses for witnesses required to be given to a witness on service of an interprovincial subpoena are a sum of money or a sum of money together with valid travel warrants, sufficient to satisfy the following requirements: (

a) the actual return fare for economy class transportation by the most direct route via public commercial passenger carrier between the place of residence of the witness and the place at which the witness is required to attend in court; (

b) the actual cost of hotel accommodation while the witness is away from his or her ordinary residence; (

c) a meal allowance for the total journey and while the witness is at the place where he or she is required to attend in court, calculated at the rate of $20.00 a day for each day that the witness is away from his or her ordinary residence; (

d) an allowance of $40.00 for each day or portion of a day that the witness is away from his or her ordinary residence; (

e) a witness fee of $25.00 for each half-day or portion of a day that the witness is required in court to give evidence. 1. Les indemnités et les frais de déplacement qu'un témoin reçoit sur signification d'un subpoena interprovincial sont soit une somme d'argent, soit une somme d'argent en sus des bons de voyage valides, suffisants pour couvrir les coûts suivants :

a) le coût réel du voyage aller et retour, en classe économique, par la voie la plus directe empruntée par un transporteur commercial public de passagers entre le lieu de résidence du témoin et l'endroit où il est tenu de comparaître en cour;

b) le coût réel d'une chambre d'hôtel lorsque le témoin est absent de son lieu de résidence ordinaire;

c) une allocation de repas pendant la durée du voyage et pendant le temps où le témoin se trouve à l'endroit où il est tenu de comparaître en cour, cette allocation étant calculée à un taux de 20,00 $ par jour pour chaque jour d'absence de son lieu de résidence ordinaire;

d) une allocation de 40,00 $ pour les journées ou fractions de journée lorsque le témoin est absent de son lieu de résidence ordinaire;
