LOI SUR LE COLLÈGE AURORA AURORA COLLEGE RESEARCH ADVISORY COUNCIL REGULATIONS RÈGLEMENT SUR LE CONSEIL CONSULTATIF DE RECHERCHE DU COLLÈGE AURORA The Commissioner in Executive Council, under

section of the Aurora College Act, and every enabling power, makes the Aurora College Research Advisory Council Regulations. La commissaire en Conseil exécutif, en vertu de l’article de la

(1) The chairperson of the Board is, by virtue of their office, a member of the Research Advisory Council. 1.

(2) The vice-chairperson of the Board is, by virtue of their office, a member of the Research Advisory Council.

(2) Le vice-président du Conseil est membre d’office du conseil consultatif de recherche.

(3) The president is, by virtue of their office, a non-voting member of the Research Advisory Council.

(3) Le recteur est membre d’office sans droit de vote du conseil consultatif de recherche. 2. The Board shall, under sections 3, 4 and select persons for appointment as members of the Research Advisory Council who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to (

a) the importance of scientific research, traditional knowledge and science education; and (

b) the communities in and regions of the Northwest Territories. 2. En vue de leur nomination à

titre de membres du conseil consultatif de recherche, le Conseil sélectionne, en vertu des articles 3, 4 et 5, les candidats qui font preuve d’un intérêt et d’un engagement envers, à la fois :

a) l’importance de la recherche scientifique, des connaissances traditionnelles et de l’enseignement des sciences;

b) les collectivités et les régions des Territoires du Nord-Ouest. 3.

(1) The Board shall, by resolution, appoint one of its members, in addition to the chairperson and vice-chairperson, as a member of the Research Advisory Council. 3.

(1) Le Conseil, par résolution, nomme l’un de ses membres, en plus du président et du vice-président, à

titre de membre du conseil consultatif de recherche.

(2) The term of office of a member appointed under subsection (1) must coincide with their term of office as a member of the Board.

(2) Le mandat d’un membre nommé en application du paragraphe (1) doit correspondre au mandat de celui-ci à

titre de membre du Conseil. 4.

(1) The Board shall, by resolution, as a member of the Research Advisory Council, appoint one employee in the public service, who (

a) works in a scientific field; and (

b) is selected from a list of candidates jointly recommended to the Board by the Minister of Education, Culture and Employment and the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources. 4.

(1) Le Conseil, par résolution, nomme à

titre de membre du conseil consultatif de recherche un fonctionnaire qui :

a) d’une part, travaille dans le domaine des sciences;

b) d’autre part, est sélectionné à partir d’une liste de candidats que le ministre de l’Éducation, de la Culture et de la Formation et le ministre d e l’Environnement et des Ressources naturelles lui ont conjointement recommandés. (2) A member appointed under subsection (1) must be appointed for a term of three years.

(2) Le mandat du membre nommé en application du paragraphe (1) est d’une durée de trois ans. 5.

(1) The Board shall, in addition to the members appointed under sections and 4, by resolution, appoint as members of the Research Advisory Council, (

a) one person who has a background in traditional knowledge; (

b) one person who has a background in the natural or physical sciences; (

c) one person who has a background in the social sciences; and (

d) one person who has a background in the health sciences. 5.

(1) Le Conseil, en plus des membres nommés en vertu des articles et 4, par résolution, nomme à

titre de membres du conseil consultatif de recherche :

a) une personne ayant des acquis en connaissances traditionnelles;

b) une personne ayant des acquis en sciences naturelles ou en sciences physiques;

c) une personne ayant des acquis en sciences sociales;

d) une personne ayant des acquis en sciences de la santé.

(2) There must be a solicitation of expressions of interest from the public before members are appointed under subsection (1).

(2) Une demande de manifestations d’intérêt auprès du public doit avoir lieu avant que les membres soient nommés en application du paragraphe (1).

(3) On the first appointment of members under subsection (1), two members must be appointed for terms of two years and two members must be appointed for terms of three years.

(3) Lors de la première nomination des membres en application du paragraphe (1), deux membres doivent avoir un mandat d’une durée de deux ans et deux membres doivent avoir un mandat d’une durée de trois ans.

(4) After the first appointment of each member under subsection (1), all subsequent appointments under that subsection must be for terms of three years.

(4) À la suite de la première nomination des membres en application du paragraphe (1), toutes les nominations subséquentes doivent prévoir une durée de mandat de trois ans. 6. The Board may, by resolution, revoke the appointment of a member of the Research Advisory Council before the expiration of the term of the appointment. 6. Le Conseil peut, par résolution, révoquer la nomination d’un membre du conseil consultatif de recherche avant son expiration. 7. These regulations come into force May 20, 2022. 7.
