LOI SUR LES TERRES DOMANIALES COMMISSIONER’S LAND WITHDRAWAL ORDER (YELLOWKNIFE) DÉCRET D’INALIÉNABILITÉ DES TERRES DOMANIALES (YELLOWKNIFE) WHEREAS the Government of the Northwest Territories has made a decision to withdraw from disposal certain tracts of Commissioner’s land within the municipal boundaries of the City of Yellowknife, to facilitate the settlement of Aboriginal land and resources agreements in the Northwest Territories; The Commissioner of the Northwest Territories, under

section of the Commissioner’s Land Act and every enabling power, orders as follows: Attendu que le gouvernement des Territoires du Nord-Ouest a décidé de soustraire à toute aliénation certaines parcelles de terres domaniales situées à l’intérieur des limites municipales de la cité de Yellowknife afin de faciliter la conclusion d’ententes relatives aux terres et aux ressources autochtones dans les Territoires du Nord-Ouest; le commissaire des Territoires du Nord-Ouest, en vertu de l’article de la

Loi sur les terres domaniales et de tout pouvoir habilitant, décrète ce qui suit : 1. Those tracts of Commissioner’s land, consisting of 1,024 hectares located within the municipal boundaries of the City of Yellowknife and identified in solid red on the map set out in the Schedule, but not including (

a) the metre road allowance to the City of Yellowknife sewage disposal site, identified in the map set out in the

Schedule as bisecting the 85.4 hectare parcel to the west of the Yellowknife Airport, and (

b) the privately titled lots on Joliffe Island, are withdrawn from disposal under the Act. 1.

En vertu de la Loi, sont inaliénables les parcelles de terres domaniales d’une superficie de hectares situées à l’intérieur des limites municipales de la cité de Yellowknife et identifiées en rouge sur la carte se trouvant à l’annexe, à l’exception du tracé de route de mètres menant au lieu d’évacuation des eaux usées de la cité de Yellowknife, identifié sur la carte de l’annexe comme étant la ligne centrale du lot de 85,4 hectares à l’ouest de l’aéroport de Yellowknife, et des lots détenus en propriété privée sur l’île Joliffe. 2.

This order is repealed on December 31, 2028, unless earlier repealed by order of the Commissioner. R-116-2024,s.2. 2.
