REGULATION TO AMEND THE TRAPPING AREA BOUNDARY REGULATIONS 1. This Regulation amends the Trapping Area Boundary Regulations. 2. The title of the Regulations is amended by adding the word “Concession” immediately after the word “Trapping”.

Section 1 of the Regulations is repealed and the following is substituted for it: “1. These Regulations may be cited as the Trapping Concession Area Boundary Regulations.”

section 3 of the Highways Act the Minister of Community and Transportation Services orders as follows: 1. The Deputy of the Minister to whom the administration of the Act is assigned or a person authorized by that Deputy Minister may from time to time exercise the power of the Minister unders subsection 24(2) of the Act and

section 42.1 of the Highways Regulations and reduce the maximum allowable gross axle weights (described in

section 42.1 of the Highways Regulations as 'axle unit weights') or maximum allowable gross vehicle weights for any highway or part thereof to ensure the safety of persons using the highway or to prevent excessive damage to the highway. 2. The reductions imposed under

section 1 shall not exceed 50% of the maximum allowable gross axle weights (described in

section 42.1 of the Highways Regulations as 'axle unit weights') or the maximum allowable gross vehicle weights for any highway or any part thereof. 3. The reduced maximum allowable gross axle weights (described in

section 42.1 of the Highways Regulations as 'axle unit weights') or the reduced maximum allowable gross vehicle weights imposed under

section 1 are the maximum allowable gross axle weights (described in

section 42.1 of the Highways Regulations as 'axle unit weights') and the maximum allowable gross vehicle weights for the purposes of the Highways Regulations. 4. Notice of the reductions imposed under

section 1 shall be given as required by subsection 42.1(3) of the Highways Regulations modified to suit the case. 5. This order comes into force on March 15, 2002 and continues until October 31, 2002. Dated at Whitehorse, in the Yukon Territory this 14 th day of March, 2002. LOI SUR LA VOIRIE Le ministre de Services aux agglomérations et du Transport, conformément au paragraphe 3 de la

Loi sur la voirie, arrête ce qui suit : 1. Le sous-ministre des Services aux agglomérations et du Transport ou une personne qu'il mandate peut exercer le pouvoir du ministre en application du paragraphe 24(2) de la loi et de l'article 42.1 du Règlement sur la voirie et réduire le poids technique maximal sous essieu (description à l'article 42.1 du Règlement sur la voirie) ou le poids nominal brut maximal des véhicules, pour toute route ou tronçon de route, en vue d'assurer la sécurité des usagers de ces routes ou d'empêcher la détérioration excessive de ces dernières. 2.

Les réductions imposées en vertu de l'article 1 ne dépassent pas 50% du poids technique maximal sous essieu ou du poids nominal brut maximal des véhicules, pour toute route ou tronçon de route. 3. Le poids technique maximal sous essieu et le poids nominal brut maximal des véhicules réduit conformément à l'article 1 représentent respectivement le poids technique maximal sous essieu et le poids brut maximal d'un véhicule aux fins du Règlement sur la voirie. 4.

Préavis des réductions imposées en vertu de l'article 1 est donné conformément au paragraphe 42.1(3) du Règlement sur la voirie, avec les adaptations nécessaires. 5. Le présent arrêté entre en vigueur le 15 mars 2002 et cesse d'avoir effet le 31 octobre 2002. Fait à Whitehorse, dans le territoire du Yukon, ce 14 mars 2002.
