LOI SUR LES ACCORDS RELATIFS À LA FORMATION PROFESSIONNELLE Program established 1. The Commissioner may establish, organize and promote programs to develop and improve the occupational and other skills of persons. 1. (1) The Commissioner may enter into agreements on behalf of the Government of the Northwest Territories with (

a) the Government of Canada, (

b) the government of a province or territory, or (

c) any municipality, agency, organization, corporation or person, for the purpose of arranging for or providing for programs, research or services relating to (

d) occupational or other skills, or (

a) le gouvernement fédéral;

d) soit aux qualifications professionnelles ou autres compétences techniques;

(1) The Commissioner may do every act and exercise every power for the purpose of implementing every obligation assumed by the Government of the Northwest Territories pursuant to an agreement entered into pursuant to

section 2. 3.

(2) Without limiting the generality of subsection (1), the Commissioner may (

a) provide courses of occupational training in the Territories to adults; (

b) provide courses in the Territories for apprentices who are adults; (

c) give or undertake to give a course to, or arrange or undertake to arrange a course for, adults and to provide services in connection with such a course; (

d) be remunerated by the Government of Canada for any courses given, developed, undertaken or provided; (

e) purchase, erect or convert buildings, machinery, equipment or other facilities for use in occupational training including such facilities as may be required for training adults, including adults with special training needs;

(2) Le commissaire peut notamment :

a) offrir des cours de formation professionnelle aux adultes dans les territoires;

b) offrir dans les territoires des cours à des apprentis adultes;

c) soit donner ou s’engager à donner, soit faire donner ou s’engager à faire donner un cours aux adultes et fournir les services connexes;

d) être indemnisé par le gouvernement fédéral pour les cours donnés, mis sur pied, ou qu’il s’est engagé à donner;

e) acheter, construire ou transformer des bâtiments, la machinerie, le matériel ou autres installations en vue de leur utilisation dans la formation professionnelle, notamment les installations requises pour la formation Idem 1 (

f) provide for the initial operation of the facilities in paragraph (e); and (
