LOI SUR L'ACCORD RELATIF AUX SERVICES DE LA GENDARMERIE ROYALE DU CANADA Agreement 1.

The Commissioner may, from time to time, on behalf of the Government of the Northwest Territories enter into an agreement with the Government of Canada, under and for the purposes of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act (Canada), to provide for the use or employment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, or a portion of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, in aiding the administration of justice in the Territories and in carrying into effect the laws in force in the Territories on the terms and conditions that may be contained in the agreement. 1.

Le commissaire peut, pour le compte du gouvernement des Territoires du Nord-Ouest, conclure avec le gouvernement fédéral, en application et aux fins de la

Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada , un accord prévoyant l'utilisation des services de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, ou

partie de ceux-ci, en vue de l'administration de la justice dans les territoires et de la mise en oeuvre des lois qui y sont en vigueur, selon les modalités de l'accord. L.T.N.-O. 1995, ch. 11, art. 51. Accord Amendment of agreement 2. An agreement made under this Act may be amended (

a) with respect to the provisions of the agreement in respect of which a method of amendment is set out in the agreement, by that method; or (

b) with respect to any other provision of the agreement, by the mutual consent of the parties to the agreement. 2. L'accord peut être modifié de la façon suivante :

a) quant aux dispositions de l'accord visées par une formule de modification prévue dans l'accord, selon cette formule;

b) quant aux autres dispositions de l'accord, par consentement mutuel des parties à l'accord. Modification de l'accord Implemen- tation of agreement 3. The Commissioner is authorized to do every act and exercise every power for the purpose of implementing every obligation assumed by the Government of the Northwest Territories under an agreement made under this Act. 3. Le commissaire est investi de tous les pouvoirs nécessaires à l'exécution des obligations contractées par le gouvernement des Territoires du Nord-Ouest en application de l'accord conclu sous le régime de la présente loi.
